LAHORE – Former President, Rafiq Tarar filed petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC), seeking to remove Musharraf’s name from official record.
The Lahore High Court (LHC) sought an answer from Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq about the removal of former president General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf’s name form the official record as the president of Pakistan.
Former president in his petition maintained that after the approval of 18th Amendment and the Supreme Court’s invalidation of Musharraf’s extra-constitutional act of November 3, 2007, Musharraf’s name as the president should be removed from the official record.
The court asked the attorney journal to file his reply in this regard and adjourned the hearing till May 18.
