ISLAMABAD – A Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry resumed hearing of the National Reconstruction Ordinance (NRO) review case here on Monday.
Additional Attorney General K.K. Agha informed the court that he has informed the federation that the court has directed him to argue over the case, a private TV reported.
He said the federation wanted the counsel of its choice to argue over the case.
During the hearing, the Advocate on Record, Abdul Ghafoor, informed the court that he was separating himself from the case.
“I am withdrawing from the case due to a medical issue,” Abdul Ghafoor said.
The Court has threatened to cancel the Advocate on Record’s license.
Supreme Court full bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry would also hear the Presidential reference seeking the apex court’s opinion over reopening of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto murder case.
