SIALKOT – All the cluster development agents (CDAs) in Sialkot have been deprived of their monthly salaries for the eight months owing to the alleged slackness of the officials of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).
The affected CDAs told newsmen that they had been working as cluster development agents (CDAs) to boost the Sialkot exports through networking for the last three years under the supervision of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) in active collaboration with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP). They added the TDAP had not released their monthly salaries for the last eight months for unknown reasons.
BANGLADESH HC TO VISIT SCCI: Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan Suhrab Hosain will visit Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on April 20. SCCI President Ghulam Mustafa Chaudhry told newsmen that the visiting Bangladesh envoy would discuss in detail the matters of mutual interest with Sialkot business community during an important meeting scheduled to be held at the SCCI.
He will also visit some leading industrial units in the district to witness the craftsmanship of Sialkot-based artisans, the SCCI Chief said.
SHO BOOKED FOR TAKING BRIBES: Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Sialkot has registered a case against Begowala SHO Asif Gillani for releasing three nominated accused in a buffalo theft case after taking bribes from them.
The accused inspector allegedly extorted Rs 20,000 from farmer Ansar Yousaf for registering a theft case against the accused.
The ACE has started investigation with no arrest in this regard.
