ALAHORE – Bosnian businessmen have evinced keen interest in purchasing cooking oil, rice, home textiles, garments, leather products, sports and surgical equipment, food items and plastic items from Pakistan. This was stated by the head of a six-member LCCI Mission, Shahid Hassan Sheikh, on his return from a five day visit to Bosnia. The other members of the mission were Hasnain Raza Mirza, Nasira Taskeen, Ali Ahsan, Saeed Akbar, PBIT CEO Saadat Muzaffar and Ms Aisha Sarwari.
Sheikh stated that the main objective of the visit was to explore and study business opportunities for turning Bosnia into a hub for Pakistani exports and for their onward transportation to Central and Eastern Europe. He said that the mission was quite successful in achieving its goals and objectives as trade between the two countries would rise considerably because of a direct link between the LCCI and the Foreign Trade Chamber of Commerce of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The mission also held a meeting with the Bosnian Minister of Foreign Trade Milorad Bahilj and discussed means to expedite the volume of bilateral trade.
