Body to finalize strategy against drone strikes today

ISLAMABAD – The Parliamentary committee on national security would finalize strategy and recommendations against US drone strikes in the country’s tribal belt today.
The committee would meet under the chairmanship of Senator Mian Raza Rabbani, sources informed Online. During the meeting, matters related to national security and overall law and order situation in the country would be reviewed in length.
State Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar has also been summoned to attend the meeting. The in camera meeting would devise a strategy against US drone attacks on Pakistani areas despite repeated protest and reaction by the political and military leadership. The strategy would be tabled in the Parliament for approval.
The meeting would also look into reason as to why the previous approved resolutions were not implemented. The committee would review various options including cutting of NATO supply from Pakistan to Afghanistan, to bound US administration to stop drone attacks, sources maintained.
