LAHORE – The Sunni Ittehad Council’s (SIC) Istehkam-e-Pakistan Conference to be held today (Sunday) at the Minar-e-Pakistan is likely to be affected by rain. The Met Office has predicted rain for Sunday morning and evening as well.
SIC leader Ajmal Gilani told Pakistan Today that the party had completed all preparations for the conference at the Minar-e-Pakistan despite the fact that the Punjab government has refused to give permission.
“They were stubborn enough to steer us towards the Attique Stadium for the conference citing security concerns but we will follow our plan instead of surrendering to the establishment,” he said.
Earlier, SIC workers remained busy throughout the day at the Minar-e-Pakistsn to complete the preparations.
