ISLAMABAD – President Asif Ali Zardari has convened the meeting of core commitee of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) at Awan-e-Sadr on April 18 (today). The meeting would be presided over by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani.
Sources in the PPP informed Online informed Online that overall country’s political situation including talks with coalition partners, expansion in federal cabinet and matters related to Presidential reference filed in the Supreme Court of Pakistan to reopen case of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto would be discussed in the meeting.
Former Law Minister Dr. Babar Awan would brief the meeting about progress on hearing of the reference, besides taking it into confidence over his future strategy in the case, sources said.
Opinions would also be taken from participants either to include Pakistan Muslim League (Q) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in cabinet or not.
