Heavy rain lashed various parts of country

ISLAMABAD – Scattered rain with thunderstorm occurred in Punjab including Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Sunday turning the weather pleasant.
Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa, Upper Sindh, North East Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir also recieved rain and thunderstorm on Sunday morning.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) analysis, rain with dust-thunderstorm associated with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during next 24 hours.
However, weather is likely to remain dry in most parts of Sindh during the next few days but rain with thunderstorm may occur at isolated places of upper Sindh during the next 24 hours.
In Balochistan, rain with dust-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places of northeast parts of the province during the next 24 hours.
In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, intermittent rain with thunderstorm associated with gusty winds is expected at scattered places of region during next 24 hours.
Maximum rain in last 24 hours was recorded at 48mm in Rawalakot, Murree 46mm, Sibi -Patan 35 each, Muzaffarabad 31, Garhi Dopatta 30, Barkhan 27,Malamjabba 23, and Kotli-Risalpur 21mm each.
