LAHORE – The two-day poster exhibition at the Government College University (GCU) on the theme of ‘environment’ received warm response from students and art lovers. Khalid Hameed Sheikh was the chief guest at the exhibition organised by the GCU Biological Society in collaboration with WWF Pakistan.
Students from 20 colleges and universities put on display as many as 117 posters at the GCU Abdus Salam Hall on “Can man be a saviour”, “Natural recourses”, “Allah created for you all that is in the earth”, “Adverse effects of Nuclear radiations” and “How to save the earth.” GCU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Ikramul Haq attended the exhibition and lauded the artwork.
He said the role of art in education was as critical as in life, adding that the art enabled us to see the world and the human condition differently. “Artists raise questions and compel us to think,” he said.
