Another 9 gunned down in Karachi

KARACHI – At least nine people, including a policeman, were killed in in Karachi on Saturday. Routine life in parts of the city, particularly Malir, came to a halt after the latest killings. Police recovered the body of a 40-year-old man from Golden Ground in Malir.
Khokharapar police said the body of Abdullah was recovered from Malir Tanki. A 35-year-old man was shot dead in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. The body of a 31-year-old man was recovered form under the Shah Faisal Colony Flyover. He was Muhammad Imran. The owner of a paint shop was killed near Liaquatabad’s Dak Khana Bus Stop. He was Ayub Raja.
A former cop with the Jacobabad police was killed by firing by some unidentified armed men in Gulshan-e-Maymar, Sector Z-6. Gulshan-e-Maymar police Duty Officer (DO) station said Azam Din, 40, was killed when some unidentified armed men opened fire inside house no 301, Sector Z-6, Gulshan-e-Maymar. A 25-year-old man was killed in firing by unidentified armed men near Village Restaurant, Sea View. The deceased was identified as Asif Jabbar.
Another man was killed while two others received bullet injuries when two pillion riders opened indiscriminate fire on them outside a tea shop near Inquiry Office, Nazimabad No 2. Nazimabad police SHO Muhammad Tufail said the victim was identified as Abdul Wasik son of Nasarullah. In another incident, 30-year-old Najeeb was shot dead by unidentified armed men in Sherpao Colony, Quaidabad. In Malir Cantt, police recovered a body of a 40-year-old unidentified man from Sadi Garden.
