Prevent garbage dumping on Manzoor Colony nullah’s edges, orders Fazl

KARACHI – City administrator Fazlur Rehman directed the Jamshed Town Administration on Friday to prevent dumping of garbage at the edges of Manzoor Colony nullah otherwise the city government’s step to clean and de-silt the drain would go to waste.
“All garbage should immediately be shifted to land fill sites,” he said while inspecting the cleaning work of the nullah.
The administrator was briefed by the cleaning staff that much of the nullah has been cleaned and it is unlikely that rainwater in the next monsoon season would be stranded in areas located around it.
The administrator instructed the staff that the cleaning and de-silting work of Manzoor Colony nullah as well as other major drains in the city should be completed as soon as possible.
Fazlur Rehman also visited other areas of Jamshed Town including Mehmoodabad, Admin Society, Liaquat Ashraf Colony and PECHS Block-6.
INCREASE IN ROAD MAINTENANCE: The City government has increased the road service maintenance fee on the road linking the Super Highway with the National Highway.
