ISLAMABAD β Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik Friday told the National Assembly that the government was taking all possible steps to ensure safe travelling on the Parachinar Road which had recently been opened after two years as a result of a peace agreement between two local tribes belonging to different sects.
He was replying to a call attention notice raised by Noor ul Haq Qadri, Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi, Zafar Beg Bhittani and others regarding attack on passenger vehicles on Parachinar Road by terrorists. βThe agreement is a good omen for facilitating the people of the area. However, the terrorists always used terror as a weapon and Taliban are trying to sabotage the said agreement,β he said, adding that he has ordered FC General to conduct inquiry and ensure security in the area.
Speaking on a point of order, Nawab Yusuf Talpur said that the district coordination officer of Umerkot had implicated his son and Sindh MPA Taimoor Talpur in a fake murder case.
