ISLAMABAD – Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Friday reshuffled the Army’s top brass and appointed Major General Ashfaq as Director General of Military Operations (DGMO). He will replace recently-promoted Lt-Gen Javed Iqbal who has been appointed Adjutant General (AG).
Javed will take over the charge from Lt-Gen Nadeem Taj who is retiring in the last week of this month. Similarly, Lt-Gen Muhammad Asif has been appointed Director General at Joint Staff Headquarters (JSHQ), Lt-Gen Sardar Mahmood Ali as Deputy Chairman of ERRA and Lt-Gen Muhammad Ahsan as the Engineer-in-Chief.
