PESHAWAR – The men’s handball teams of Tajikistan and Afghanistan were received at the Pak-Afghan border by the officials of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa Handball Association. Associate Secretary of the Pakistan Handball Federation Bahre Karam along with Secretary Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa Handball Association Noor Zada and other members comprising Yaha Jan, Sajjad Khan and Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah received the two teams who arrived on an eight-day tour.
The teams were taken to the University of Peshawar, where after a short stay the two teams left for Faisalabad to participate in the forthcoming International Invitational Handball Tournament, being held from April 15 to 17. After participating in the tournament, the Tajikistan team would play a match in Rahim Yar Khan on April 19, while Afghanistan will visit Lahore on the same day to play a match in Lahore on April 20 before the two teams’ arrival in Peshawar on April 21.
