SAHIWAL – The Sahiwal CNG Association observed a complete strike in protest against two-day gas load shedding carried out by the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL). A protest rally was also carried out from Chowk Yadgar to Sui gas office that was led by association’s President Haji Muhammad Riaz.
Offices bearers Ch Suleman Ahmad, Mirza Jafar, Ch Muhammad Akram, Rana Nisar Ahmad, Mian Amjid Munir, Ch Rashid Hameed, Muhammad Tariq and Ch Muhammad Usman were also present in the rally. They presented their charter of demand to the Sahiwal commissioner and SNGPL regional manager and said the strike would continue till the acceptance of their demands.
TWO BODIES RECOVERED: At least two unidentified dead bodies were recovered. Reportedly, some unknown people killed a young boy and a girl and threw their bodies into a canal. The bodies were recovered by the police in Chak No 37-12L but could not be identified.
