LAHORE – The Government College University (GCU) Debating Society (DS) won the All Pakistan Inter Collegiate Literary Gala, beating 16 teams from all over the country, held at the Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi. The GCU’s team comprising Hafiz Obaid Ullah, Muhammad Saad Farooq Ziai, Ali Zafar and Hafiz Ali Moeen Uddin lifted the team trophy at the literary gala. Ziai stood first in the Arifana Kalam Contest, Hafiz Obaid Ullah secured first position in the Qiraat Contest while Ali Zafar was declared the second best English debater of the event.
