ISLAMBAD – The Supreme Court (SC) has permitted the separation of Kamal Azfar, counsel of the federation, from the ongoing hearing of the National Reconciliation Order (NRO) review case here on Thursday.
Earlier on April 11, the Supreme Court rejected the government’s request to change its senior counsel, Kamal Azfar, in the NRO review petition and adjourned the hearing till the following day, a private TV reported.
The apex court ordered former Attorney General Malik Abdul Qayyum, former NAB Chairman Naveed Ahsan and Danishwar Malik to appear before court.
The Chief Justice of the SC Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, head of the 17-member bench, said in his remarks that the court had not been provided with complete records of the NRO case.
