LAHORE – Pakistan International Airlines hosted a dinner in honour of the Pakistan cricket team and awarded all the members of the team with frequent-traveller PIA Diamond Cards. Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director PIA, Nadeem Khan Yousufzai said that PIA has always supported sports in Pakistan and will continue to play its role for the promotion of sports in the country.
He appreciated the performance of the team and said that it was the efforts of the entire team that Pakistan reached the semi-finals in the World Cup. He also commended the bowling performance of Afridi and wished the entire team success in the upcoming matches. The team was awarded PIA (Frequent Flyer) Diamond Cards with 20,000 air miles as a token of appreciation by Managing Director PIA. A shield was also presented to Chairman PCB, Mr. Ijaz Butt.
Chairman PCB Ijaz Butt thanked PIA and especially, the Managing Director PIA, Nadeem Khan Yousufzai for inviting the Pakistan cricket team for the ceremony. The gathering was attended by Ijaz Butt, Waqar Younis, wife of Managing Director PIA Mrs Zareen Khan Yousufzai, PIA’s Director Marketing Imraan Ahmed Khan, Director Human Resources Shahnawaz Rehman, District Manager Lahore Noman Munir, senior officials of PIA, CAA, PCB and notables of Lahore.
