Media workshop held in Khanewal

KHANEWAL – One-day workshop for media professionals was held here in a local hotel to create awareness of the catastrophic situation and widespread destruction caused by the floods in the country. The workshop was organised by the provincial gender education team (PGET). Moneeza Hashmi and famous writer/poet Asghar Nadeem Syed were speakers and presenters on this occasion. They said that the flood-affected people in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan still need help in all the sectors like development, rehabilitation, health and education.
They further said during the last floods, media and the government played their role to help the flood affectees, but this important issue was neglected soon. They observed that in these areas, schools were badly damaged and called for their rehabilitation. Asghar Nadeem Syed urged the media people to play their role in motivating the general public to build the society as a great nation.
