Drone strike kills six in South Waziristan

PESHAWAR – At least six militants were killed and several others injured when a US drone targeted a compound and vehicle in Baghar Camp near Angora Ada in South Waziristan on Wednesday.
Reports from Wana reveal that the US drone fired three missiles on a house, occupied by local and foreign militants, and razed it whereas two vehicles were also damaged. Soon after the missile attack, the site was cordoned off by other militants and they took the bodies and the injured to an unknown place.
Officials confirmed six casualties so far. However, tribesmen apprehend an increase in the number of casualties as the condition of several injured was said to be in danger.
However, Reuters news agency reported that the missiles were fired from two unmanned planes and aimed at a vehicle. A security official in the region said that the missiles hit a vehicle carrying militants.
