LAHORE – Burewala thrashed Sahiwal by eight wickets in the NBP Okara Cricket Tournament at Okara Gymkhana Ground, Okara. The Okara District Cricket Association is playing host to the event at the facility between Okara Sports Football Club Stadium and Young Tigers Hockey Club Stadium.
Sahiwal batted first and made 218 in 40 overs with Rameez Alam 38, Waqas Sharif 34. Mudassar Ali and Salman Burki took four and two wickets respectively. Burewala raced to the target with 220-2 in 37 overs. Muhammad Ahsan was the hero with brilliant 109, supported by Kashif Munawar with 67. Friday’s fixture: Okara Green v Nayyar Soch, Lahore (10 AM).
