PESHAWAR – Germany-based nationalist political worker Hidayat Ullah Khan Bangash has stressed upon all leading political forces to build up a consensus on the ongoing violence and terrorism in the country if they sincerely want peace and stability.
“Violence and terrorism are not focused on a particular idea, group or community but they are against the entire country,” Mr Bangash remarked while addressing the Peshawar Press Club’s Guest Hour on Wednesday.
He said no one can deny the fact that existing crisis originated from Afghanistan therefore it was essential to restore peace there first. In response to a question, Hidayat Bangash said, “a great game is in progress on this soil and we are the main stakeholders.” On such grounds, he said that government alone could not resolve the matter and all political forces should play their role.
Belonging to Hangu district, Hidayat Bangash shifted to Germany in mid 70’s and with help of other colleagues, arranges socio-politico gatherings. He occupies the office of Awami National Party’s president in Germany and is striving to keep the culture of his motherland alive. He has also established schools in Germany to teach Pashto and Pashtoon culture and traditions to the children of Pakhtoons residing in Germany and other European countries.
