KARACHI – It is a “cherished urge” and a “lasting demand of millions of patriotic Pakistanis” to reopen the Zulfikar Ali Bhutto case and rectify the historic wrong that has tarnished the image of our judiciary, Sindh Culture Minister Sassui Palijo said on Tuesday. The minister was talking to the media prior to departing for Islamabad to attend the ZAB case reopening hearing in the Supreme Court. Palijo said that by sending a reference to the apex court for reopening this case, the president has fulfilled his constitutional obligation.
“All eyes are now on the judiciary. Through this reference, the Supreme Court has an opportunity to rectify a historic wrong and keep the record straight for the nation,” she added. Palijo criticised the statement of Justice (retd) Wajihuddin on Benazir Bhutto and Justice (retd) Naseem
