PML-Q criticises FIA ADG’s investigative procedures

LAHORE – Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) Information Secretary Kamil Ali Agha accused Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) Additional Director General (ADG) Zafar Qureshi of unleashing a personal agenda of vengeance against Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and his family, in a press statement issued in Lahore on Tuesday, and said that Zafar Ahmad Qureshi had failed to find any proof against Monis Elahi in the 14 day physical remand.
Agha said that Qureshi despite his machination has also visibly failed in establishing Moonis Elahi’s link in the NICL case. He said the settlement between NICL and Mohsin Warraich coupled with Mohsin Warraich’s written affidavit clearly stated that Monis Elahi had no concern in the alleged deal and these facts had frustrated Qureshi. Agha also accused Qureshi of stooping as low as implicating the female family members of Moonis Elahi to cover up for his own failures. He said that Qureshi had opened a front against Chaudhry Parvez Elahi to avenge the denial of perks and privileges to him during the regime of Elahi in Punjab.
Agha called Qureshi a puppet playing at somebody else’s behest and condemned the FIA ADG for using his office to carry out a personal agenda of revenge. He also urged the judiciary to take notice of Qureshi’s continuous violations of the country’s constitutional and penal courts besides ethical and moral norms. “In his sheer frustration Zafar Qureshi has now started fabricating new stories at regular basis”, alleged Kamil Ali Agha.
