Planning Commission to hold Youth Idea Challenge competition

ISLAMABAD – The Planning Commission will hold a Youth Idea Challenge to hear the voice of youth about inclusiveness of economic growth through a video competition.
The competition invites all academic institutions in all provinces as well as AJK and Gilgit Baltistan to participate and express their ideas at the National forum, said a press release issued here on Tuesday.
The documentaries are expected to reflect the vision of the Pakistani Youth on distributing the benefits of Economic Growth to the marginalized and vulnerable sections of our society, and making markets work for the poor, especially for youth.
The theme flows from the New Development Approach (NDA) prepared at the Planning Commission of Pakistan; and should provide the framework for all the aspiring students.
The “New Economic Growth Framework” envisioned by Planning Commission has four pillars a) productivity and Innovation, b) governance reforms and competitive markets, c) cities as engines of growth, and d) youth and communities, and thus, all documentaries should be guided by either of the following themes: Our cities, Knowledge and Productivity, Social Networking, Youth Entrepreneurship and Market Reforms.
The best entries will be available for public display at the Planning Commission and Center for Poverty Reduction and Social Policy Development’s website and will also be awarded with grand prizes.
The Competition is being organized by the Center for Poverty Reduction and Social Policy Development of the Planning Commission.
