Four Mujahid Squad constables dismissed

LAHORE – Mobiles Superintendent Muntazir Mehdi dismissed four constables of the Mujahid Squad from services and ordered one step reversion in the ranks of a sub-inspector (SI) and three assistant sub-inspectors (ASI) on charges of gross misconduct, absence, negligence in the duties and misguiding control room about their positions on Tuesday.
According to a press release issued by Mobiles Squad spokesman constables Imran, Irfan, Haneef and Usman were dismissed from services while one step reversion in the ranks of Model Town Mujahid Squad Incharge SI Muhammad Arif, Gajjumata picket incharge ASI Liaqat Ali and ASI Ghulam Nabi and Thokar Niaz Baig picket incharge ASI Haneef and made them ASI and Head Constables respectively.
Mehdi said that he had ordered eight hours of duty at entry and exit police pickets and policemen who were appointed at entry exit point would not be spared if found showing negligence in their duties.
