Suspected bandit shot dead by Rangers

KARACHI – A man suspected to be a bandit was shot down by Rangers near the Karimabad flyover, the Gulberg police said on Sunday. According to Rangers officials, 30-year-old Jahangir was looting citizens near the Karimabad railway track. Rangers personnel were passing through on motorcycles when they saw Jahangir looting a family. They ordered him to surrender. However, when he tried to escape from the scene, they opened fire on him. His body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Man gunned down over personal enmity: A man was gunned down by unidentified culprits in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area, the police said on Sunday. Azam Khan, 29, was standing outside the Nagori Milk Shop in Block 13D-2 when two men on a motorcycle opened fire on him. Khan was critically wounded and taken to the Aga Khan University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His body was later handed over to the heirs after completing medico-legal formalities. Police suspect personal enmity to be the motive behind the murder.
