Rs 38m to be spent on 14 Khanewal projects

KHANEWAL – DCO Rashid Mehmood has said that Rs 38 million will be spent on 14 different development projects of roads, schools and hostels. While presiding over a meeting of the district development committee held in the committee room of the DCO office, he said 14 development schemes and been reviewed on technical and financial grounds.
He added Rs 38 million would be spent on these projects in the light of the direction of the Punjab chief minister. The meeting was attended by EDO Education Muhammad Fazil Saleemi, EDO Works Muhammad Shahid, EDO Finance Muhammad Asghar Bhatti, EDO Health Dr Abdul Waheed, DO Building Muhammad Saleem and others.
MEDIA WORKSHOP TOMORROW: A one-day workshop for media professionals is scheduled to be held on Wednesday (tomorrow) in a local hotel for the awareness of the widespread destruction caused by the last year’s floods. The workshop is being organised by the provincial gender education team with the collaboration of UNICEF.
Muneeza Hashmi, daughter of Faiz Ahmad Faiz, and Asghar Nadeem Syed will be the main speakers and presenters. About 30 participants are taking part in the media workshop from Lodhran, Vehari, Khanewal, Bahawalpur and Multan districts. The workshop that starting at 9am and conclude at 3:30pm will also be attended by the representatives from PGET Punjab and UNICEF.
