LAHORE – PCS Officers’ Association President Rai Manzur Nasir on Monday requested for a weeks time to personally appear before the Punjab chief secretary (CS) owing to various reasons. Nasir has been issued show-cause notice and was supposed to appear for a personal hearing with the CS on Monday but on the time of hearing, he requested the competent authority for a weeks’ time.
A senior officer said that Nasir took the plea that he did not receive the show-cause notice and wanted to examine the evidence against him. “It is a good decision on part of the CS to have allowed another week to Nasir to prepare his case in order to uphold justice and fair play,” he added.
Separately, the Punjab additional chief secretary completed the personal hearing of three more provincial service officers on Monday.
