CIDA meets Punjab health secretary

LAHORE – A four member Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) delegation headed by Canada’s first Secretary Cassie Lee called on Punjab Health Secretary Fawad Hassan Fawad in his office on Monday and discussed various ongoing development projects in the health sector. Fawad briefed the delegation about different pro-poor initiatives taken by the government for patients’ welfare and said that free diagnostic and treatment facilities were being provided to the patients besides provision of free medicines to the emergency and indoor patients in various public hospitals.
He said mobile health units had been introduced for provision of diagnostic and treatment facilities to far-fetched areas. Special Secretary Health Wasim Mukhtar, Special Secretary Establishment Dawood Muhammad Khan and Health Management Information System (HIMS) Director Dr Muhammad Anwar Janjua were also present.
