KABUL – A $1.5 million agreement was signed between Harakat Foundation and the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MoCI). Addressing a press conference during the signing ceremony of this agreement, “Today, three agreements were signed for trade improvement project in Afghanistan national trade policy, support of fair competition and improvement of consumers support. The basic goal of these agreements is improvement of trade in Afghanistan,” said Dr Anwarul Haq Ahadi.
The project on Afghanistan national trade policy removes existing administrative and legal barriers due to lack of such a project. Talking on the second agreement for support of fair competition, Dr Ahadi said, “The basic goal of this project is to get assurance of fair competition in market, so domestic companies and consumers be less vulnerable against non-competitive activities – that would result in reduction of prices, increase in investment and creation of new commercial activities.”
Talking about the third agreement on consumer’s support, Ahadi added, “The goal is to draft and complete the legal framework for consumers support.”
