ISLAMABAD – The government has filed a petition seeking review of Supreme Court’s verdict against appointment of Justice (r) Deedar Hussain Shah as the NAB chairman. The federal government has taken plea that material against the Law Ministry be expunged from the detailed decision of SC and the verdict be reviewed.
A three-member SC bench presided over by Justice Javed Iqbal had completed hearing of the case pertaining to the appointment of Deedar Hussain Shah as the NAB chairman and announced the decision through a short order on March 10.
