PESHAWAR – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and academicians from the Peshawar University and its affiliated organs have endorsed the decision regarding the HEC dissolution. Backing the provincial autonomy in accordance with the 18th Amendment, the PK government made it clear that no problems and hardships would arise as a result of the HEC dissolution.
The Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa chief minister Saturday chaired a meeting of the vice chancellors of various universities. The participants of the meeting agreed on the implementation of the 18th Amendment in letter and spirit. Civil society representatives and academicians also endorsed the government’s firm stance on the dissolution of the HEC in the light of the 18th Amendment.
Briefing media people, KP Information Minister Mian Iftikhar said the meeting was attended by the vice chancellors of all government universities, the minister for higher education and others.
