Hoax call sparks terror alert at NIPA, CSA

LAHORE – Civil Lines and Cantt Division Police carried out a thorough search operation in the surroundings of the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) and Civil Services Academy (CSA) after receiving a hoax call about a terrorists’ plan to infiltrate the two buildings on Saturday.
An anonymous caller told CCPO Lahore Aslam Tarin that terrorists were planning to attack NIPA in the Civil Lines police area and CSA in the Cantonment area The CCP sent two police teams who cordoned off both buildings and searched the area for terrorists. After a thorough search, it proved to be a hoax call and the police declared both buildings safe.
Terrorists have made a quite few attacks on important buildings in the provincial metropolis. Terrorist first targeted the FIA building killing and injuring scores. In another attack terrorists blew up the ISI building on Lawrence Raod. Terrorists did not spare minorities either and attacked Ahmadi worship places in Garhi Shah and Model Town.
Several people were killed in both attacks. A spate of attacks raised a terror alert in the city and security for sensitive installations was raised.
