CHICHAWATNI – The residents of Chak No 189/9.L of Chichawatni foiled a bid to kidnap a local journalist the other day. The incident occurred on the last night in the Ghaziadad police precincts when Sarfraz Ali, 33, accompanied by his friend, was going to his village from Lahore after duty hours.
As per reports, when Sarfraz Ali reached near his village, three men in a car forcibly stopped him and beat him up. Later, they tried to drag him into their car, but the locals came to his rescue and the accused fled from the scene. The area police have registered a case and started investigation.
