SIALKOT – Federal Information Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Sunday announced to build 50 new houses for the tornado victims in village Dera Maai Malaani near Head Marala here. Addressing the residents of the affected villages, the federal information minister said the government had not left them alone in this hard time. She promised to start construction of 50 houses in village Dera Maai Malaani soon.
MAN POISONS WIFE TO DEATH: One Muhammad Iqbal of Sohawa Colony in Daska city allegedly poisoned his wife Rubina Bibi to death over a domestic dispute here Sunday. Reportedly, he forcibly poured poison in her throat at gunpoint at the door of her parents’ home. As a result, she fainted and breathed her last before reaching Daska Civil Hospital.
WHEAT PROCUREMENT: Wheat procurement at the official centers in all the six districts of the Gujranwala division will start from April 20 for which all the necessary arrangements have been made. The supply of gunny bags would be started to the wheat growers on April 18, two days before the procurement. Commissioner Saeed Wahla disclosed this while talking to newsmen here.
