LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) witnessed a unique drama on Friday when Director General (DG) Abdul Jabbar Shaheen terminated the services of his private secretary but reinstated him within some hours.
According to LDA sources, the LDA DG had already messed up on various occasions but this slip up echoed everywhere. LDA Secretariat Service Officer Ijaz Anwar, working as private secretary to Shaheen, received his termination letter on Friday with orders to report to the administration branch.
A LDA official told Pakistan Today that Anwar went to Shaheen’s office at the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), as the LDA DG is also working as the PHA DG. The meeting turned successful and Anwar received another order regarding his reinstatement.
Shaheen was not available for comments despite repeated attempts.
