Punjab Police’s website goes functional

LAHORE – The official website of the Punjab Police started functioning on Thursday on directives of Punjab Police Inspector General Javed Iqbal.
According to details, the website www.punjabpolice.gov.pk was redesigned by Police Headquarters (PHQ) Computers Additional Director Shaheen Khalid with assistance of the Punjab Information Technology Board.
Information regarding history of the Punjab Police, three levels of recruitment in the police department, police initiatives, public services, crime statistics, newsroom and safety tips are available on the site. Punjab Police rules and regulations and other information are also available.
The website also provides information about the telephone numbers and fax numbers of all sectional heads at PHQ and capital city police officers (CCPO), regional police officers (RPO), city police officers (CPO) and district police officers (DPO) of the province. Telephone numbers of women police stations of the province could also be obtained from the website.
External links of websites of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Sindh Police, Islamabad Police, Edhi Ambulance Service, National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), 1124 Punjab Highway Petrol and Rescue 1122 could also be accessed from the website. The most important features of the website, which could be helpful for the people, are e-complaints and e-suggestions.
The complainant could have his or her grievances redressed through this facility.
