The problem of littering and pollution in the streets is a major one though it does not get as much attention from the media as it should. People just do not care about what they are throwing outside their windows. They also dump their garbage in the canals, rivers and streams and do not care what might happen to people and animals that might be using the same water.
Where possible, we should walk instead of driving so that we could chip in to make the environment clean. We should also utilise proper waste disposal methods and avoid littering our streets.
