ISLAMABAD – Interior Minister Rehman Malik told reporters at Parliament House on Wednesday that a draft had been prepared for the agreement to exchange prisoners between Pakistan and Britain.
Malik said officials from both countries were in contact regarding the agreement and the court had issued un-bailable arrest warrants for former president Pervez Musharraf. He said that if no action was taken on the warrants, the court would make a decision itself.
He said the court first issued bail-able warrants of an accused person and if no progress was made, it issued un-bailable warrants followed by declaring the accused a proclaimed offender if they are not arrested. He said that Interpol had also issued a red warrant for Musharraf’s arrest.
