ISLAMABAD – Haider Gilani, the youngest son of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, will undergo a surgery today (Thursday) at a local hospital in London for removal of a cyst from his liver. Meanwhile, Gilani left for London on a three-day private visit to stay with his ailing son.
A family source disclosed that the doctors had discovered a cyst in Haider”s liver on March 25, following which the surgery was scheduled to be conducted on 30th. However, the operation was deferred because of Gilani’s visit to India on the eve of the ICC World Cup semi-final.
Talking to Pakistan Today, Mian Shabir Anwer, the press secretary to the prime minister, said that Gilani was accompanied by a small number of personal staff.
