LAHORE – Pakistan People’s party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders hailing from Wazirabad joined Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) in a meeting with PML-Q leader Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi on Tuesday.
Waqas Afzal Chattah, former ticket holder of PPP from PP-103, PML-N leader Ali Asghar Cheema, union council leaders Shahbaz Cheema, Chaudhary Muhammad Ashraf, Akhtar Hunjra, Chaudhary Saif, Syed Zaigham and others, while reposing full confidence in the leadership of Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi, joined PML-Q.
Pervaiz Elahi welcomed them in the party and said that PML-Q had transferred power at the grass root level and served the masses at their doorsteps and would do the same if the people voted them to power. He appealed to the young doctors for not stopping their services at emergency wards of public hospitals during their protest, though PML-Q fully stood by the doctors to support their demands. He, while demanding of the Punjab government to accept the demands of the young doctors, held the provincial government responsible for the deaths of 60 patients in the hospitals.
