KARACHI – Sindh government Media Coordinator Taj Haider felicitated MNA Nafisa Shah on her acquisition of a PhD degree from the Oxford University.
Shah, former nazim of Khairpur district has been awarded the degree on her study on honour killing in upper Sindh. In a statement issued on Tuesday, Haider said that Shah has discussed a social ill in her thesis and this will help towards the eradication of ‘karo-kari’.
He said that in the light of Shah’s thesis, the necessary steps should be undertaken for curbing the cruel tradition.
