LAHORE – The Government College University (GCU), Lahore Library on Tuesday acquired the full-text English to English dictionary in Braille for visually-impaired students of the university.
Iqra Educational Trust UK Chairman Anees Qari donated the dictionary to GCU Vice-Chancellor Dr Ikramul Haq along with gift packs for GCU blind students. GCU Chief Librarian Abdul Waheed and trust country coordinators including Abdul Qadoos and Javira Iqbal were also present on the occasion.
The donated dictionary is divided into five volumes, which contain almost all words of English. The dictionary is placed at the GCU Centre for Special Students. GCU visually-impaired students expressed pleasure at the availability of the dictionary in Braille at the centre.
