Pegasus Consultancy is organising the International Plastic and Packaging Industry Exhibition – PLASTI & PACK Pakistan 2011 and the International Food & Technology Exhibition Incorporating Pharmaceutical Technology & Food Chemicals – IFTECH Pakistan 2011.
Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) former President Khalid Firoz, who inaugurated the event, told the media that top international manufacturers are displaying their products at the show, because they eye big opportunities for their products in
Pakistan. “They want to tap this potential and instead of selling the finished packaging products they are now selling the machines which produce these products”.
“Our government needs to project this potential to foreign countries so that Pakistani manufacturers prefer to buy top quality machines”, he added.
Responding to a question, Firoz said that the businessmen were demanding only three things from the government, improved security, uninterrupted power supply and water for their industrial units.
He appreciated the organisers for arranging the event in a trying situation and attracting world’s top machine makers to Pakistan through this exhibition. It will not only help local entrepreneurs to examine a wide variety of machines and technology under one roof, but will go a long way in improving Pakistan’s image in the outside world, he observed.
Pegasus Consultancy Chairman Aasim Siddiqui said that the world’s top manufacturers were displaying products at the show. “We have received an overwhelming response from leading international and local companies. Some of them have come to Pakistan for the first time”, he added.
