ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Business Council (PBC), a group comprising of leading Pakistani companies, hosted the Pakistan Economic Forum (PEF) earlier in the week. The economic forum aimed to highlight and identify solutions of five key socio-economic areas – energy, regional trade, social protection, macroeconomic stability and education – said a press release issued here on Monday.
Panelists comprised of intellectuals, former senior civil servants, military officers, economists and business leaders from across the country. Discussions on these five critical issues were held in the daylong session. The forum debated pragmatic solutions, which they will recommend to the Government of Pakistan, various political parties and the business community.
Recommendations are expected to be shared with relevant stakeholders in the coming weeks.
