NH&MP claims arresting 10 criminals

LAHORE – The National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) N-5 Central on Monday claimed to have arrested 10 criminals involved in various crimes and recovered 12 bore repeater guns, 30 bore pistols along with ammunition, a snatched car, stolen wood and other valuables from their possession.
According to details, NH&MP officers arrested Bilal, Muhammad Yaar, Rana Rizwan, Riaz, Amjad, Ahsan Ali, Asad, Sarfraz Masood, Kafayatullah and Shahid. On directions of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) N-5 Central Syed Ibne Hussain, the arrested criminals and recovered items were handed over to local police for further action. NH&MP officers also helped Ehtesham Raza, 5, and Sohail Ahmad, 6, reunite with their respective families.
One wheelers: City Traffic Police has arrested 54 bike riders during special crackdown against one-wheelers and stunt riders in first quarter of year 2011. A press note issued by the spokesman of City Traffic Police on Monday states that the aforementioned wheelers/stunt riders were arrested by the special squads of City Traffic Police, established to patrol in different traffic sectors by the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) in order to take stern action on the calls of citizens. The handout states that during the crackdown, traffic wardens have also issued fine ticked to more than 4000 motorbike riders in order to educate them.
