MQM chief condemns bomb blast in Lower Dir

KARACHI – Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has condemned the bomb blast in Lower Dir in which several people lost their lives and many others were injured.
According to a press statement issued on Monday, Hussain expressed his heartfelt condolences and said that the terrorists want to create utter lawlessness and chaos in the country by carrying out such blasts. He said that the terrorists have the wicked plans to harm the national security.
“The brutal and merciless terrorists who are killing innocent people are the enemy of the country and humanity,” he said.
He hoped that terrorism will be defeated by the united efforts of the citizens, the armed forces and police.
He expressed his profound sympathies to the families of the people who lost their lives in the blast and prayed that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
He stressed upon President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and Interior Minister Rehman Malik to take every possible step for the elimination of terrorism. “The government must take adequate measures to protect the people,” he added.

  1. When they say that the government should take adequate steps, i feel the first step is to make counter strategies for IED's.
