LAHORE – The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), as part of its ongoing Lahore Shopping Festival (LSF), will arrange a vintage car rally today (Tuesday) to create awareness amongst the younger generation about classic car models.
The rally will start from Liberty Chowk at 3pm and after passing through Main Boulevard and Jail Road, will culminate in front of the LCCI Building, Tahir Malik, chief executive Trafco Tracking and sponsor of the colorful event said while holding a press conference. Malik claimed that the rally will be most interesting event of the eight-day LSF being organised by the LCCI under which numerous activities have been planned including a vintage car rally, bicycle rally, exhibition, Qiraat Competition etc.
He said that for the first time, a car rally is being held in the city and ‘catwalk’ of over 50-year-old cars will attract a large number of people. Malik said that until now, 35 people have registered to participate in the rally, which will also encourage owners of classic old cars.
The Trafco Tracking chief executive said that his organisation will continue sponsoring such healthy activities, as it promotes corporate social responsibility. He said that full security is being provided by the Punjab government throughout the route of the rally.
