LAHORE – Punjab University Teaching Department won the PU 64th Inter-collegiate Girls Athletics Championship. They secured 247 points to clinch the trophy after competing in 15 disciplines of the championship participated by 26 colleges while Govt College Sumandari with 124 points was placed second and followed by Govt College Attock which got 77 points.
Sobia Sultana of the Teaching Department was declared the best athlete of the championship after she got 77 points. She also emerged as the fastest female athlete when she covered the 100m distance in 13.31 seconds. Additional Secretary Sports Waheed Akhtar Ansari was the chief guest of the finals day and distributed the prizes among the winners and other participants.
